How to configure a PC to play Starfield?

May 10, 2023 | By Anthony

Starfield is a much anticipated action role-playing game from Bethesda Game Studios expected to be released on September 6, 2023.

While the official system requirements have not yet been released, based on the game’s trailer and the typical system requirements for modern games, here are some recommendations for a gaming PC configuration that should be able to handle Starfield:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or Intel Core i7-11700K
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800
  • Memory: 16GB DDR4
  • Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F
  • Gaming Power Supply: 750W or higher
  • Cooling: High-performance air or liquid cooling system
  • Case: A mid-tower or full-tower case with good airflow and cable management

This configuration would be the minimum to handle Starfield at high settings with good frame rates. However, keep in mind that the actual system requirements for the game may vary once they are released. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to check the official requirements and adjust your hardware accordingly.

We recommend upgrading to a higher configuration, not only for enhanced performance, but to future proof your system for more upcoming game releases that may require even more advanced hardware.  Of course, Origin PC can customize a a gaming PC tailored to your specific budget and preferences.
