Company Overview

ORIGIN PC delivers the best gaming experience period, but what does that mean? It means the best parts and technology the computer gaming industry has to offer. It means world class support from day one and ORIGIN PC's support never ends. It means having a team of people who understand the art of elite system building and maintenance, standing by to assist you when you need it. It means never having to feel you made the wrong choice.

Any company can build a PC, but few can build a custom gaming PC worthy of playing the latest games. Many claim to offer gaming PCs, but they don't deliver a complete gaming experience. A real gaming PC must be focused on Customization, Service, Gaming, and Technology. This is ORIGIN PC's specialty.

For a PC to be deemed ORIGIN PC certified it must have:

  • True Personalization  {The complete package has to 'look' as good as it performs}
  • Hand-Built by Certified ORIGIN PC Specialists {Just because anyone can build a PC, doesn't mean they should}
  • Lifetime phone and online service guarantee {Once you join ORIGIN PC, we will have you covered for life}
  • Lifetime labor for all your service and upgrade needs included with every ORIGIN PC system
  • Gaming Performance & Quality Testing {1 cycle of a benchmark does not mean it is ready, this is a gaming PC.  Every ORIGIN PC runs through at least 72 hours of testing}
  • Component Quality Assurance {Only the best quality/performing components}
  • Wired for Thermal Optimization {No, a bird's nest is not allowed in a gaming PC}
  • Inspected and Approved {Over 100 point quality checklist signed by your dedicated team of professionals}
  • Dedicated Support Team {Never deal with anonymous agents that don't know your name}

About Me:

Believe it or not, I first got into PC gaming thanks to my mom. She came home one day with a shareware version of Doom that a friend had given her. I was mesmerized by the 3D environments and controls and have been hooked on PC gaming ever since that day. Determined to work in the gaming industry, I worked at EBGames/Gamestop while in college until making the jump to Alienware in 1999. I have worked in the gaming industry for over 15 years holding positions ranging from quality assurance tester to vice president of marketing. At ORIGIN my primary role is to ensure we stay true to our commitment of customization, service, gaming, and performance. I make certain that the communication of our brand to the world is true to the work we perform on a daily basis. With the dedicated staff of hardcore enthusiasts we have working on every PC like it was their own, sometimes it feels more like a hobby than a job.

Q&A:

What is the first game you remember playing?
Pong of course. Yes, we had a pong machine in my house. We didn't play it much though. The first game I can remember being hooked on was probably Pitfall for the Atari 2600.

What are your favorite games?
So many great games, so little time. Half-Life always comes to mind first when I think of my favorite game of all time. Recent favorites include the COD, LFD, Assassin's Creed, and GTA franchises. Back in the day I was a hardcore Sierra junkie and loved all of the Police Quest, Space Quest, Hero's Quest, and King's Quest games. I play games on every and any system so I also have to give credit to the console games that got me hooked on gaming growing up: Zelda, SMB, Kid Icarus, Metroid, Castlevania.... basically way too many classic NES titles to list. Last but not least I love a good sports game which unfortunately nowadays seem to only be on consoles. NHL, Madden, and the 2K basketball games are must haves every year.

What do you do when you are not gaming?
When I'm not gaming I'd pretty much rather be gaming.....well OK, there are things I like to do outside of gaming. Playing poker is always fun (if I win). House games, online, or in Vegas. I also enjoy traveling, seeing new places, and meeting new people. Playing basketball, football, and running are my outdoor sports of choice. I don't really watch TV, the only time I use my TV is for gaming or to watch football or basketball. Oh, and I love to drive fast, the Miami-Dade police department can attest to that!

What was your first gaming PC?
I couldn't tell you anything about the specs of the machine. All I can remember is loading up as many shareware games as possible and playing a game called Sopwith non-stop. No idea what my parents used the computer for, but to me it was a gaming PC!

Title: President - Co-Founder

About Me:

I got into gaming like many others with the Atari 2600. I remember countless hours of Pitfall, Moon Patrol, and Space Invaders to name a few. Well that is of course if my sister wasn't on it first on a never ending game of Pac Man. From the 2600 I jumped to the Commodore 64. A good friend's dad had one, and whenever we had the chance you better believe we were on it. After that I was hooked on gaming! I started working in the gaming computer industry with Alienware in 1999. I did pretty much everything and anything there was to do. We all did in the beginning. As time went on I focused on the manufacturing and supply chain side of things with my last position being Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, Supply chain and Logistics. At ORIGIN I focus on these same things, which is what I know best: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Logistics, and always making sure we are maintaining our focus on quality and performance.

Q&A:

What is the first game you remember playing?
Besides the classic Atari and C64 games, it would have to be Ikari Warriors. I would skate board up to a pizza shop and dump countless quarters into it. Whenever I run into it I still have to play it, I love the old school stand up machines!

What are your favorite games?
I really like the Tom Clancy Rainbow Six games, going way back to Rogue Spear. Recent games would be Call Of Duty and Left for Dead. My all time old school game has to be Street Fighter II. My first job was working in the mall in my uncle's shop, three stores down from the arcade. Anyone think they can take me out and will be in Miami let me know, we have an arcade cabinet in the factory.

What do you do when you are not gaming?
I've always been an adrenaline junkie. I raced motorcycles for years. I'm not racing anymore but still have one and I get out and ride whenever I can. I also do a lot of mountain biking, scuba diving, fishing, pretty much anything outside.

What was your first gaming PC?
It was a desktop that a friend put together for me. Intel based with a 20 GB Hard Drive and 256 MB of SDRAM. I remember playing a whole lot of Doom.

About Me

I have always been a geek. Star Wars, Dungeon & Dragons, boardgames and Atari sum up my childhood. After high school, I went to college and served in the army. My love of PC gaming started in the early 90s and it went from there. I grew up gaming with the original founders of Alienware, it was no surprise that I started working with them by late 1998. In my 10+ years there, I did everything from Customer Service, Sales and Support. Now at Origin, my goal is to make sure we stick with our commitment of customization, service, gaming, and performance. I make sure the Service and Support of our brand is true to our customer's expectations. With the dedicated staff of hardcore enthusiasts we work with to make every customer's dream PC a reality, it's the best job in the world.

Q&A:

What is the first game you remember playing?
Video game? Well, it would have to be Asteroids and Space Invaders at a local arcade. (yes, there were such things before) Later that year, Santa left me an Atari 2600 with a copy of "Adventure" under the tree. What a great Christmas!

What are your favorite games?
What a tough question. For me, the key to a good game is the memories it leaves you with. And there are so many games that have done that for me. Thinking back on the early days; Red Baron, Alone in the Dark, Doom and Wing Commander come to mind. Anything from the Bioware guys. Civilization. Half-Life and WoW are no brainers. Homeworld and Max Payne rocked! More recent games include Mass Effect, LFD, COD series, Fallout3 and Bioshock.

What do you do when you are not gaming?
Spend family time with the wife and kids. I really enjoy reading Sci-fi/fantasy novels, comics and history books. (Remember I'm a geek at heart.) Watching NFL football, going to the movies and the beach.

What was your first gaming PC?
LOL, does the Commodore64 count? I built a i486DX2 with a whopping 16megs of RAM back in the early 90s. Doom never looked so good!
